While there was no ticket fee for children up to 3 years of age in government buses operating in Tamil Nadu, now they have allowed children up to 5 years of age to travel free in Tamil Nadu government buses.
Also, the Government of Tamil Nadu has issued an ordinance that children between the age of 5 to 12 years will get half fare in government buses. The government is confident that many people will benefit from this.
