On May 28, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurates the new Parliament building, a seven-hour programme has been planned. Havan and puja will be performed at the start of the ritual, and PM Modi will speak at its conclusion.

From 7.30 to 8.30 am, there will be a havan and puja before the event. Near the Gandhi idol, the pandal will be placed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla will be among the numerous politicians in presence at this puja.

After that, between 8.30 and 9.00 am, the “Sengol,” a historically significant sceptre from Tamil Nadu that the British gave to the country’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, to symbolise the transfer of power, will be erected close to the Speaker’s chair.

A prayer meeting will start at 9:30 am. This prayer gathering will feature a number of eminent scholars, pandits, and saints, including Shankaracharya.

The national anthem will be played before the ceremony’s second part begins at noon. This event will feature the screening of two short films.

The message from President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will thereafter be read by the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.

On this occasion, a coin and stamp will also be released. Prime Minister Modi will address at the conclusion. The program will end at around 2:30 PM
