Today , the Indian Meteorological Department has recently announced that the depression formed in the Bay of Bengal is moving at a speed of 5 kmph and it will move in a north-northwest direction and strengthen into a storm at 5.30 pm. Due to this, many districts in Tamil Nadu are likely to receive rain today, according to the Meteorological Department.
Also, due to the low pressure zone formed in this Bay of Bengal, storm warning cage number 1 in 9 ports has been raised. It has installed storm warning cages in Chennai, Cuddalore, Nagai, Kattupalli, Thoothukudi, Pamban, Ennore, Puducherry, Karaikal. Due to this, the weather department has warned fishermen not to go to the sea.
‘Storm Warning Cage’ #1 is set up , it means that a climate conducive to the formation of cyclone prevails. It also means there will be strong winds blowing without any harm to the ports.
