Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, slammed the BJP for supporting the movie “The Kerala Story” and claimed that they are spreading “distorted stories.” She also attacked “The Kashmir Files,” Kerala’s chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan for not denouncing “The Kerala Story,” and the BJP for engaging in casteism. CM Vijayan has previously attacked the film and described it as an effort to harm Kerala’s reputation.

“BJP practises casteism and politics of divide and rule. Why this file on Kashmir? In her remarks to the media, CM Banerjee stated that the goal is to degrade one group. The Kerala Files are what? I oppose the CPI people. I am referring to individuals rather than the CPI(M) party because they are collaborating with the BJP. They should have criticised it instead of me, but they work together she remarked.

I’m sorry, but I must ask the chief minister of the state… It’s unfortunate that your party is working together with the BJP. Further lashing out, the CM remarked, “And that BJP is showing the Kerala files… twisted stories. She further said that the BJP is making a movie called “The Bengal Files” and that it was doing so in an effort to malign Bengal. “They are currently disparaging Kerala and its citizens. They are constantly concocting stories to malign Bengal as well. She questioned, “Why is the BJP instigating communal politics?
