The Northeast Frontier Railway has halted all trains to Manipur as violence spread throughout the state.

According to the Indian Army, the Indian Air Force operated AN 32 and C17 Globemaster aircraft continuously from two airfields in Assam. The army stated that “induction began on the evening of May 4 and additional columns began domination with effect from wee hours of May 5.”

Throughout the night, inhabitants from all villages were taken over and evacuated from the afflicted locations. The army reported that a flag march is in progress in Churachandpur and other sensitive locations.

The Northeast Frontier Railway has halted all Manipur-bound trains due to the law and order situation. No trains are allowed to enter Manipur until the situation has changed. The Manipur government’s recommendation to halt train travel led to the decision, according to Sabyasachi De, CPRO of NF Railway, who spoke to news agency ANI. This decision has been taken  initially just by the Indian Railways for May 5 and 6.

The military advised citizens to only trust information from legitimate, reputable sources. This comes after the Indian Army issued a warning on a number of fraudulent videos that were circulated regarding the security situation in Manipur.In the midst of the unrest, internet services have been suspended in some part of state.

According to several media reports, Amit Shah, the union home minister, won’t be going to Manipur on Friday. Shah met with the top central and state bodies through video conference on Thursday to examine the situation in the state and spoke with the chief ministers of Manipur and its surrounding states.
