According to PMO Office , Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially launch the third Khelo India University Games on Thursday via video conferencing .
The 3rd Khelo India University Games will take place in Uttar Pradesh from May 25 till June 3, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The competition will feature 21 sports and about 4,750 competitors from more than 200 universities. Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, and Gautam Buddha Nagar will host the competitions.
According to the PMO, Prime Minister Modi will use video conferencing to officially launch the Khelo India University Games on May 25 at 7 PM. He has placed a significant emphasis on fostering a national sports culture and inspiring young people to participate in sports.
The state animal of Uttar Pradesh, the Swamp Deer (Barasingha), is represented by the Games’ mascot, Jitu, he said.
The Games’ final ceremony will take place on June 3 in Varanasi.
